Financial, Advisory, and Technology Services for Not-for-Profits
"Do good, and good will follow."
That’s the guiding principle behind Whittlesey & Hadley’s in-depth involvement in Connecticut’s not-for-profit community – an involvement that spans more than two decades and encompasses a variety of service to and for the not-for-profit community.
We bring structure to the spiraling demands placed upon the not-for-profit, so that you can do what you do best – take care of clients.
Whittlesey & Hadley brings our not-for-profit clients a team of accounting, technology, consulting, and recruitment experts. We are an accounting firm – and a whole lot more – to more than 200 not-for-profit clients.
Our clients include health service providers, performing arts organizations, museums, social service organizations, educational and residential programs, professional associations, membership organizations, retirement communities, labor unions, social advocacy groups, and charitable foundations. Though some firms consider not-for-profit work as “fill” time delegated to junior staff members, we consider serving the not-for-profit a vital part of our Firm's past, present and future.
This is a glimpse of the broad range of services we provide to the not-for-profit community. What do we mean when we say we provide services for the not-for-profit community?
We live our own words: Do good, and good will follow. We encourage our partners and our staff to become actively involved in the not-for-profit of their choice. We donate time, money, or a combination of both to many agencies. Our partners and managers serve in leadership positions in numerous small and large not-for-profit organizations. Through the generosity of our employees, Whittlesey & Hadley is proud to be a repeat Pacesetter in United Way's annual giving campaign.
Perhaps the most telling sign of our commitment to the not-for-profit community is the Whittlesey & Hadley Fund, a charitable fund managed through the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.
Taking care of a not-for-profit organization is a challenging business. But it is one that we know well, through experience, ongoing continuing education, and a personal and firm commitment to serve the not-for-profit community.
Our words are not empty: Do good, and good will follow. That’s how we live, and that’s how we serve our not-for-profit clients.
