As tax partner, Bud Buckner brings over 30 years of public accounting experience to his practice. Named partner in 1988, Bud focuses on corporate and individual taxation, with emphasis on transactional matters such as business entity restructuring, purchases and sales, and estate, retirement and succession planning.

Bud holds bachelor’s degrees in business administration and law enforcement from Bryant University and a master’s degree in taxation from the University of Hartford. He is a noted speaker and author on a variety of tax-related topics such as real estate taxation, passive activity rules, and personal service organizations.

Bud is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants where he has served on a variety of committees including Continuing Professional Education; Strategic Planning; Nominating and Professional Ethics; Federal Tax Forum; and various ad hoc committees. He is trustee and former chairman of the CSCPA Education Trust Fund and a CSCPA past president. Bud is a member of the National Business Aircraft Association, Evening Star Lodge No. 101, Masonicare Home Health and Hospice Board of Directors. He is also chairman of the Committee on Legal Matters for the Grand Lodge of Connecticut, former chair of PKF International Continuing Education Committee, and former president of Rotary Club of Hartford.
